Question: Which University Should I Choose to Do My Accountancy Degree With? Answer: Analysis Choosing the best university after completing high school is an important decision of life. While going for a degree program, one should always focus on their area of interest. After one is sure about the course that they want to pursue, choosing the best college that suits our requirements is the next important step. Before enrolling in a good college proper research is needed. More than 100 universities impart degree in accountancy in Australia. So it sometimes becomes difficult to choose one. It is a decision of a lifetime and one should focus on doing the best analysis before taking a step forward.( Brands, K. M., Elam, D. 2017) Research Whenever we are planning for higher studies, proper research is the key that can save us from regrets later on in life. Before going for the college, we need to do proper research in that regard. There are a few factors that can influence our decision on choosing the best for us Education is not the only thing we get in the college. Along with imparting knowledge, college also exposes us to a cultural change and helps us in shaping up our personality for the real world. It helps us in overall development. It is thus very important to consider the social impact and the socio environment in the college. (Zwick, R. 2017) There are so many colleges that are imparting degree in accountancy, but not all are famous for that degree program, some are good in technology, some in management. Therefore, we should go for those colleges that provide degree program in accountancy and are famous for the same. (Joy, S. P. 2017) Other factors that must be considered are the distance for the college to the home, and the type of placements that the college is offering to the students. There are both big institutes and small institutes. The larger ones have more facilities, more resources and students can get better exposure too, by enrolling in the same. For the smaller institu tes, the students can go for part time internships and other jobs cause the rules are not that strict. It is also important that one should focus on the type of faculty present, because the teachers play a very important part in our life. (Bennett, S., Agostinho, S., Lockyer, L. 2017)With so many options, available choosing the best is difficult but not difficult. In order to conduct the research, we can browse over the internet, and carry on a sorting method, where we can sort the colleges based on our criteria and needs. We can also take help and advice from our seniors, who have more knowledge in this field, and can help us in taking a wise decision. We can visit the websites of different colleges and study about the placement report and the reviews that has been posted on different portals and sites. All that can help us in taking our decision; we should also complement our overall research with latest data, facts and figures. Overall after all that is done, we should focus on our self-demands and then take our decision. ( Creswell, J. W., Poth, C. N. 2017). Evaluation Once the overall research is completed, it is the time to evaluate the same, and take our decisions thereon. It is important that after sorting the best colleges, we should compare the pros and cons of our selected colleges from that list. Based on my analysis and overall research, I was able to select only two colleges that met all my set criteria. The two colleges were, University of Queensland and the Central Queensland University. Both the Universities are good in their own way. If we compare the overall pros and cons, CQU has better facilities for placement , and also the faculty is more experienced in comparison with the other university. As for the Central Queensland University, it is one of the pioneer college in this field, the only con is that the placement reviews are not great , also with changing times, it is important that these university changes their study teaching pattern and overall curriculm. Apart from that both are top rated institutes in the area, these college s provided wide practical exposure to the students that were very important for a subject like accountancy. (Eide, E. R., Hilmer, M. J., Showalter, M. H. 2016) These colleges were the first preference of many international students, in this way; the students had a wide exposure to the culture of different parts of the world. The faulty is also very good and experienced. The location of the college is very good, and the overall travelling distance is less, that will help in saving a lot of time. Apart from that, they have good placement facilities, and a supportive placement cell, that help the students secure the best of jobs. Apart all the research, the best university that suited very well to all my demands is the Central Queensland University, which is situated in the heart of Australia,Queensland.( Why choose CQUni - CQUniversity. 2017) For pursuing my accountancy degree, the best institute will be the Central Queensland University (CUQ). One of the best institute all over Australia, that has been imparting quality education to its students from last twenty five years. It is one of the best, having a very experienced faculty and a good placement cells those carters to the need of the students. The institute is not very old, but its progress in providing responsive, engaging education to the students, and supporting their overall development and growth is very remarkable. A large number of international students come here every year, to get the best excellent education and facility. Apart from being one of the best regional institutes, it has also received a five star rating from the Good Universities Guide (GUG). The degree that we will earn here will also help us in developing our careers overseas. The students, who have graduated from the same, have gone to become, top executives in big multinational companies wor ldwide. The seniors that have graduated from this place speak high of the experiences they have here, and how it has been responsible in shaping up the person they are now. Overall, the experience that I wish to have is one of great education and learning that will help me in doing well in life further.
